The main thing to remember is that no matter which job(s) you pick you need to always have a comfortable and quiet work area that is free from distractions and noise.
Although you will be able to set your own hours and work schedule with most of these companies it is very important to remember that once you accept an assignment that you must complete it in the agreed upon time frame. It is important to show that when you are assigned the work that the companies know that they can depend on you to get in completed in a timely manner.
Another important thing to remember is to NEVER take on more work than you can complete as agreed. Start out small and work you way up is a good rule of thumb.
Apply with several companies at once. Some people make the mistake of only signing up with one company. You should initially sign up with several and as the assignments start to come in then only pick the amount of work that you can do in a timely manner. Once you began to receive assignments then you will be better able to determine which companies will offer the most amount of work to you.
